The Body as Temple, Not Project

It’s easy to see the body as something to fix—sculpt, push, criticize, improve. But in Ayurveda, the body is not a project. It is a temple, a dwelling place for spirit, a bridge between the visible and invisible.

A person sitting cross-legged with a bowl of yogurt topped with granola and strawberries, symbolizing nourishment and honoring the body. Megan Haggett created this image.

When we approach the body with reverence, even the smallest acts—eating with presence, stretching slowly, resting fully—become rituals. Care shifts from performance to devotion.

You don’t need to perfect the body. You only need to tend to it with respect, the way you would tend to a sacred fire.

Simple. Let's get well!

Love,

Meg
