The Pause is Remedy

Every living thing knows how to pause.

The heart rests between beats.

The ocean rests between waves.

Even the breath rests between inhale and exhale.

Ayurveda teaches us that these pauses are essential for balance.

They allow digestion to happen, healing to take place, clarity to rise.

Without the pause, the flow becomes frantic.

A warm striped mug with a teabag tag rests on a wooden surface at sunset, symbolizing the healing power of pausing with presence. Megan Haggett created this image.

In our busy lives, it can feel difficult to stop, even for a moment. But pausing doesn’t mean quitting—it means letting the body catch up with the soul.

Try this: before answering the next email, before the next task, take three soft breaths and feel the space they create.

The pause doesn’t take time away. It gives time back.

Let's make the time to take the time for the Self.

Today, tomorrow, and every day on this earth.

Let's get well.

Love,

Meg
